More than teaching the craft, Ana allows you to learn more about yourself. She guides you in the discovery of your tools and in the process you discover the value of your humanity. This is very important because this leads you to more authentic and affecting acting choices. Acting is about realities and Ana allows you to explore your truths. She does this well because she is an artist with a commitment to the pain and joy of truth.
Workshops with Ms. Ana have been the best way to take my work to the next level. Her insight, guidance, and knowledge are what equipped me with the tools to unlock my vulnerabilities and pour them into the characters that we then create together. Her energy of openness, collaboration and edge work are instrumental to acting and being confident and independent on set. Plus, it’s a blast to work with her!
Everytime I have a film or television series that I need help with for my actors, my go to person is Ana. Whether it’s a refresher or assistance in getting into a character or getting over blocks… or whatever need there may be, Ana is the person to run to. What I love about Ana’s style is that she has a genuine concern for her students and the people she works with. She is very nurturing, very approachable. That is why her students keep coming back to her long after they’ve already “graduated” from her. She makes them feel welcome and most importantly, they feel safe with her. She is also very straightforward and tells you as it is. She also gives 100% in any given project. This is not just a job for her. This is her passion. Trust that she is with you throughout the process. I have witnessed many breakthroughs with her all thanks to her perseverance and passion. I fully recommend Ana and I hope more actors and directors get to experience working with her. She is an excellent teacher and you will find yourself going back to her wanting to learn more.
More than my growth as an artist, Ana has been instrumental in my journey as a person. She has opened my eyes in holding myself accountable to my feelings and actions, even my mistakes; the latter being where she passes no judgement, and allows me to learn.
Rather than “perfecting” my craft, she’s given me the license to explore characters, to push emotions - to see how far we can stand at the edge of a cliff, and then encourages us to jump!
She’s given me the courage to take my space in this industry and realize my passion as a lifelong viable means of living.
An actor needs to feel empowered & free to be. The feeling of being respected & valued moment to moment is the perfect starting point for magic. That’s how I feel when I work with Ana. I trust her & respect her with all my heart.
Ana was the acting teacher of the cast ensemble of my first film and TV series, and I am grateful it was her. She helped and taught me how to handle my mostly newbie cast, which made my directorial debut so much easier. I love that she also includes me in the workshop, because not all acting teachers do that. It helps me create a bond with my actors, a big help in motivating them during filming. I know that when I attend her workshops, it is always a safe space. She is assertive but not disrespectful, inquisitive but trustworthy, and knowledge-based but relatable. You can’t help but let yourself “be” in her workshops.
Ate Ana is not just an amazing mentor but also a very dear friend. She has helped me expand as an actor and grow as a person dealing with both life and art. I still carry with me the techniques I’ve acquired Ate Ana has taught over many years. With her, it’s always a safe environment and a conducive space for creative work.
My first encounter with Ms Ana was when I attended an extensive acting workshop on the Eric Morris System with Anthony Vincent Bova. It was one of the most transformative moments in my life. They have a unique way of marrying the lessons on the craft with the core of the actor and you step out feeling empowered. That’s what I love the most about Ms. Ana’s teaching style. She gives you confidence to make big leaps - allowing yourself to be surprised by how far your emotions can take you- but always making sure that her actor’s well-being is in check. She always reminds me that nothing should overwhelm me because all the tools are already inside of me. The energy she brings is a safe place where an actor can freely express and explore. Her ability to identify acting blocks, to organize creative ideas, to dig deep to make a complete background and find hooks you can have on your character is spot on. I’ve been working with her for years and she still leaves me in awe. She makes learning exhilarating. An experience you’ll keep coming back to.
Ms. Ana gave me the tools to act, of course. She taught me how to be a better person, yes! She gave me so much more than an acting coach had to.
But the best thing she ever gave me … was a slap in the face.
A great acting coach is valuable, but nothing more so than a real friend that is willing to clip your wings when you fly too close to the sun.
“The workshop is the place to fail” they say, and to me, having a safe space where I can fail without being scared is important to me and I found it in her workshop.
As someone who started unconfident and anxious in the showbiz industry, it was ate Ana who helped me get back on my feet and be confident with myself. On the days that I have emotional blocks, I would ask for her help and after each session I’d feel more empowered and enlightened with my craft.
When I had my first acting workshop, I was traumatized. I felt like I wasn’t good enough, like I wasn’t valid. Therefore, I never wanted to do acting again. It was only until I started classes with Miss Ana Feleo did I feel confident. Not only in my career but in my personal life. My relationships with my family, friends and myself improved. My life felt well-balanced and complete. My desire to improve and be the best at what I do, grew. My goals became more clear and felt achievable with my new mindset. And it’s all thanks to Miss Ana Feleo.
Best thing I learned in Ms Ana’s workshops is the importance of honesty and owning my truth. It definitely wasn’t an overnight thing. I worked on myself for months under her guidance and it was so worth it. Her workshops opened my eyes to a wider and deeper perspective of what I actually see in the mirror. I became more open to my mom and dad, closer to my sisters and of course, braver on the set. But most importantly, I learned how to love myself the right way.
Ate Ana easily gained my trust because she made me feel SAFE, PROTECTED and SEEN.
Wala akong matago sa kanya, kusang bumubukas at lumalabas mga emotion ko kapag siya ang nagtuturo sakin. So if you get the chance to work with her… iwan niyo Lahat ng kaba at takot sa bahay. Trust me, it’s gonna be the best decision of your life.
Ms. Ana is the first person I run to when I have a lot emotional blocks and when I'm having a hard time expressing myself. Because of Ms. Ana, I’ve learned so much about my craft and about myself. I remember the first time I attended her class I was so naive and was trying so hard to impress her. The most important thing I’ve learned in her class is to own my truth and to accept my flaws. Failing is part of the process and she helped me overcome that. Her manner of teaching is effective and efficient. I admire how patient, straightforward, nurturing and observant she is to her students. No wonder a lot of artists trust her. because she provides this safe space each time she instructs us. I keep coming back to her workshops no matter what because there’s always something new that I discover in myself as an artist. I share my victories with her in my career because she’s one of the people who helped me sparkle as an actress and believed in me.
Learning from Ms. Ana Feleo, has not only helped me excel in my career but also helped me understand my craft within myself to better hone it & prepare me for more significant & challenging roles. And for that I am forever grateful to her.
To say Ana changed my life with her teaching is not hyperbole. She ventures so far beyond what it means to ‘act’. She taught me how to be present, how to observe and how to feel in the simplest, purest way. She is kind, first and foremost, nurturing and so generous with feedback. She creates a safe space to explore and I will forever be grateful that I get to take the many skills she taught me into everyday life.
I am a student of Ms. Ana for almost 6 years.
I learned a lot from her. She taught me many lessons regarding my craft, she taught us a lot of techniques, approaches and styles in acting. Ms. Ana is a fun, caring and a patient teacher, she makes sure that after every class her students always have “take aways”(learnings). I could say that I enjoyed my time learning with Ms. Ana, I understood my craft more and to explore as an actor, and my favorite thing after every workshop is that I don’t only learn about my craft but I also get to learn about life.
